Harvey Lunenfeld serves as Special Advisor to the Vine Group. He is the
President and CEO of Internet Corporation, President and CEO of U.S. Patent
International, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Citizens for
Affordable Energy. Mr. Lunenfeld started his professional career at Wheeler
Laboratories. He is a forerunner in environmental protection, the
development of environmental laws and regulations, has extensive management
and interdisciplinary experience in both the public and private sectors, and
in a wide variety of disciplines, intellectual property, patent prosecution,
a pioneer in advanced technologies, energy, environment, water pollution
control, water supply, internet and network technology, communications,
highly sophisticated electronic systems, remote sensing, satellite and space
technology, and ground water mapping, and has developed early search engine
technology and one of the first internet e-commerce systems.
Mr. Lunenfeld has directed high profile cases for the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency and has developed portions of major federal legislation.
He is considered a national energy and environment expert and has negotiated
with industry, including the oil and utility industries, managed large
staffs for the U.S. Government, and awarded the prestigious Bronze Medal by
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Lunenfeld has contributed to
water pollution control and water supply on a national, regional, and local
level, and has directed and regulated the development of pollution abatement
levels for more than 100,000 industrial and municipal facilities. Mr.
Lunenfeld has been considered for several senior level positions, such as
U.S. Government Deputy Assistant Secretary, Assistant Deputy Undersecretary
and United Nations positions, and has been Special Advisor to senior level
Government Officials. Mr. Lunenfeld directed technology forecasting, and
conceived, formulated, selected, and simultaneously managed more than 30
highly advanced future technologies and next generation programs having an
annual budget of $30 million. He managed the preparation of more than 1,000
technical reports by more than 1,000 employees, which resulted in the
collection of $120 million from the U.S. Government within 10 months for
Eaton Corporation. Mr. Lunenfeld holds Master of Electrical Engineering and
Master of Science in Civil (Environmental) Engineering degrees, both from
New York University, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from
CCNY, studied toward Ph.D's in both areas, studied toward an M.B.A. at
Adelphi U., Fine Arts at The New School, and Patent Law and Practice at the
Practising Law Institute. Mr. Lunenfeld is registered and admitted to
practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in patent cases, is a
licensed professional engineer, has published numerous papers, holds a
number of patents, prosecuted many patents, contributed to the development
of national laws, regulations, and guidelines, and has received numerous
awards and letters of commendation.
